Today I will share A UNIQUE INSTANT RAJGIRA LADOO RECIPE FOR WEIGHT LOSS that is also eaten during the fast.

Before get started, First I will try to clear most of the commonly asked questions.

WHAT IS RAJGIRA LADOO ?

  • First of all, let me clear Rajgira Ladoo is identified by various names such as Ramdana Ladoo, Amaranth Ladoo according to different territories.

  • Amaranth grains have been cultivated from 8,000 years ago.

  • Amaranth seeds (Rajgira) is a healthy grain with a rich source of minerals like Vitamin, Iron, Calcium, and Fibre, etc.

  • Day by day, Rajgira Ladoo is gaining popularity because of its unlimited health benefits like it acts as an Antioxidants and rich in Micronutrients.

  • It is mostly loved by everyone.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup Rajgira (Ramdana)

1 cup Jaggery

2-3 tbsp Desi Ghee

2 tbsp Currants (Kishmish)

2 tbsp Cashewnuts (Kaju)

Before diving into the procedure of Ladoo Recipe first, you have to do 2 to 3 things:

  1. You have to wash the Rajgira well.

  2. Break the Jaggery into small pieces.

  3. Cut the Cashewnuts (Kaju) into small pieces.

PROCEDURE:

  • To make Rajgira Ladoo, firstly we will roast rajgira seeds.

  • Hit a pan.

  • Add 1 tbsp of rajgira seeds to it and keep stirring and roast.

  • Put very little rajgira seeds at one time while roasting.

  • If you will put too many at one time, then rajgira will not pop up well.

  • All the seeds are popped up. So take them out in a bowl.

  • Same way roast all the remaining rajgira seeds.

  • After all, seeds are roasted, then filter those seeds.

  • The Rajgira seeds that have not been popped up will get separated and we have to get filtered rajgira.

  • We can use this rajgira to make a burfi, roti, etc.

  • Now, we'll make a syrup.

  • Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp ghee to the pan.

  • Add jaggery to the pan.

  • Keep cooking untill the jaggery is melted.

  • Add 2 tbsp of water in it.

  • After sometime jaggery has completely melted.

  • If you want syrup of thick consistency adds less water.

  • Add the syrup to the bowl containing rajgira seeds.

  • Filter the syrup as this will help to remove all the impurities.

  • Add cashew nuts (kaju) and currants (kishmish) to the bowl.

  • We add those cashew nuts and currants to add taste.

  • We can make rajgira ladoo without adding cashew nuts and currants. You can make it as per your requirement.

  • Mix it well. We will make ladoo while it is a little hot.

  • While making ladoo. Apply a little water on your hands.

  • Pick up the mixture and roll it in a ball.

Note: Make sure that before making each ladoo, wet your hands with a little water

Rajgira Ladoo are now ready to be served which are really easy to make and very tasty.

But it takes a little time for the rajgira seeds to pop up. If popped up rajgira available in the market, then buy it.

PRECAUTIONS WHILE ROASTING RAJGIRA SEEDS:

  • Make sure that the pan is quite hot when you are roasting the rajgira.

  • The pan should have a heavy base.

  • Pop up very little rajgira at one time.

  • Repeat the procedure.
  • NOTE: Sometimes the rajgira seeds do not pop up properly as the pan is not hot.

  • Initially, we will face problems popping rajgira. But soon will learn with practice.

  • Filter the rajgira seeds that are not popped up properly.

HOW TO STORE RAJGIRA LADOO ?

  • Take a container (glass/plastic) and clean it and make sure that is moist free.

  • Once the Rajgira Ladoos are cool then we put them into the container and tightly cover it.

  • We can eat it for more than 2 months after storing it.
